The La Florida neighbourhood of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat already has its Cruyff Court, which has been sponsored by FC Barcelona player Jordi Alba. The initiative is from the Cruyff Foundation, being Sports & Landscape by Ignasi Senabre exclusive partner for the installation of all these soccer fields for social use, since they have the objective of promoting sport among the youngest. The Barça Foundation and the La Caixa Banking Foundation are also key agents for the construction, maintenance and revitalization of a total of 15 Cruyff Courts in Catalonia, and in the case of this one L’Hospitalet de Llobregat City Council is also collaborating.

The Cruyff Courts are small free-use soccer fields that the Cruyff Foundation promotes as a priority in disadvantaged areas, in order to promote the social inclusion of especially vulnerable children and young people. Sports & Landscape is honoured and proud to participate in this project.

The inauguration of the Cruyff Court Jordi Alba, which took place last Friday, was chaired by the same player; the president of FC Barcelona and the Barça Foundation, Joan Laporta; the manager of the Cruyff Foundation, Pati Roura; the corporate director of Education and Marketing of the La Caixa Foundation, Xavier Bertolín, and the mayor of L’Hospitalet, Núria Marín.

Sports & Landscape has equipped the court with state-of-the-art 40-millimeter artificial turf, filled with sand and SBR rubber, for a total area of 600 square meters. The works have been carried out in four weeks.

Located on Calle de la Alegría with Avenida Catalunya in L’Hospitalet, the Cruyff Court Jordi Alba will host, during school hours, the sporting activity of the Balaguer School and the Pau Casals School, which do not have adequate spaces.
