Sports & Landscape continues its expansion phase. In response to the growing demand for artificial turf, the company now has a new storage facility in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda, in the Can Bernades-Subirà industrial estate, near Barcelona.

It is a logistics warehouse, destined to stock the new artificial turf that we receive from the various prestigious European manufacturers that we have, for sports use (football, paddle tennis, tennis, rugby) and decorative and landscaping. Thus, we always have provisions, to be able to start the works tendered as soon as the client wants or requires.

A second objective of this new distribution center is to preserve the old artificial turf rolls that we have removed from football fields, so that they can be reused later. A complete maintenance and cleaning program is applied to this lawn and we prepare it for new uses, including installation in public squares, municipal facilities, children’s play areas, schools, swimming pools, fairs and other public and private spaces.

We use an innovative waste-free, on-site artificial turf recycling method, designed through an European Union research and innovation program. Thanks to this extraction system, the grass is removed in a single day, reducing energy consumption and cost as much as possible. And we certify the carbon footprint of the entire process. In addition, this system allows materials to be reused, not only the turf itself, but also the fill, sand and rubber, which are subjected to a sanitary and drying treatment that allows their reuse.

With this process at Sports & Landscape by Ignasi Senabre we manage to reduce waste and contribute to caring for the environment, following the rule of the 6 R’s of the circular economy.

The new Santa Perpetua warehouse is easily identifiable as a Sports & Landscape warehouse. The included posters promote our services as technical consultancy specialized in sustainable sports facilities and in the assembly and recycling of artificial turf surfaces for sports and decorative use.
