Cassà de la Selva goes from a soil field to an artificial turf field

The Cassà de la Selva City Council has opted for Sports & Landscape for the work to transform its municipal 7-a-side soccer field, made of soil, into a state-of-the-art playing field, with artificial turf provided and installed by our specialized consultancy on sustainable playing surfaces.

Work began on the municipal 7-a-side soccer field in this town in Girona at the end of August, as there was a large part of civil works. In addition, a training area was also built next to the field.

The installation of the artificial turf, on this 62 x 40 meter playing field, is already finished, and at the moment only a few details of the construction work remain to be completed.

Due to the particularities of this field and the conditions of use, a 60 mm turf filled with sand and SBR rubber has been chosen.

The works have included the installation of two fixed goals, four folding ones, two covered benches, an electronic scoreboard and an irrigation system. New lighting has also been installed and the perimeter fences surrounding the new facilities in the current sports area are being renewed.
