La Aldea is committed to sustainable artificial turf by Sports & Landscape

Sports & Landscape by Ignasi Senabre has been in charge of the work to replace the artificial turf of the UE Aldeana soccer field. The City Council of this town in Tarragona has chosen to carry out this work due to the age of the old turf, which was already 16 years old, and has opted for our consultancy, “a company specialized in minimizing the impact in the environment, since it has the CO2 footprint certification for the assembly and disassembly of the lawn and the reuse of materials”, according to them.

On the field, with a total area of 7,150 square metres, we have removed the old turf following our environmentally efficient process and have installed Team Master 40 turf, with an elastic base without rubber infill.

The new surface has been released just after the Christmas holidays, with the resumption of the competition. The opening ceremony has been held this Sunday January 15^th.

The mayor of La Aldea, Xavier Royo, has highlighted that “the new turf offers a guarantee of safety and performance to the players, because after 16 years of operation of this field, the grass that existed was already very deteriorated”.
