Demonstration of machinery for cleaning artificial turf on hockey fields

Polytan and Sports & Landscape, with the collaboration of the Catalan Hockey Federation, have organized a technical conference to demonstrate the Polymobil 2.0 artificial turf cleaning machinery for hockey fields, designed and manufactured by Polytan.

The sessions have been held over two days at the Club Egara in Terrassa and have had the participation of representatives of the Spanish, Catalan, Valencian and Galician hockey federations, as well as technicians from municipal and supra-municipal sports entities of Valencia, Vilafranca del Penedès, Terrassa and Barcelona.

Representatives of sports companies and facilities and sports clubs and stadiums have also attended the presentations, and all have received a certificate of attendance at the sessions.

The manager of Sports & Landscape, Ignasi Senabre, was very satisfied with the sessions: “The conferences have been very profitable, because with our partner Polytan we have been able to present this special machinery for cleaning artificial turf on hockey fields, that Polytan Services manufactures, and we have also introduced the different hockey turf systems that we have.”

Recommended maintenance for hockey artificial turf fields is determined because Polytan uninfilled artificial turf systems have been specifically designed for the high demands of this sport. These are short-pile, very dense pavements that are not filled with sand or rubber granules. The particularity is that they are filled with water before each use to guarantee optimal playing characteristics and a safe glide for professional players maneuvers, even at high speeds.

For this reason, the maintenance and cleaning of sports facilities is one of the fundamental pillars of Polytan, which has helped to position itself as the world’s leading company in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of hockey fields. Cleaning and maintenance work is an investment, because it extends the useful life of the installation and maintains the technical characteristics of the specific artificial turf system for hockey.
